A: MB Mobile Remote Check Deposit is a convenient way to deposit checks using your mobile phone or tablet. Checks can be deposited into your checking, money market or savings account provided they are part of your Online Banking profile.
Q: How do I sign up for MB Mobile Remote Check Deposit?
A: You must enroll in MB Personal or Business Online Banking and contact your branch of account or Relationship Manager to sign up.
Q: Which devices can I use to make mobile remote check deposits?
A: Mobile deposit is available for iPhone®, iPad® and Android™ phones or tablets with the current version of the operating system.
Q: Are there any fees for mobile remote check deposit?
A: There are no fees for using mobile remote check deposit. However, other fees may apply based on your account type.
Q: What is the cut-off time for mobile remote check deposits?
A: The cut-off time for making mobile deposits is 3:00 pm Pacific Time for the deposit to be credited to your account on the same day.
Q: What is my deposit limit?
A: The default deposit limits are $2,500 per day and $15,000 per month. Business customers should contact your branch regarding possible increases to your deposit limits.
Q: How should I endorse the checks I deposit?
A: Endorse checks by signing your name or note the business name and print “For MB Deposit Only” below the endorsement. Failure to endorse the check properly may cause it to reject in processing.
Q: How will I know if my deposit was successful?
A: Once the deposit is submitted, you will receive two emails. The first will confirm receipt of the deposit and the second will confirm it has been approved for processing. You can also check your account activity to see the deposit.
Q: How will I know if there was a problem with my deposit?
A: If there is a problem with the captured image, you will immediately receive an error message.
Q: Whom do I contact if I need help with mobile remote check deposit?
A: For inquiries about the status of your check deposit, call your local MB Branch. For all other inquiries, contact E-Banking Support at (888) 307-1543, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time.
Q: Can I designate another user to deposit into my account?
A: Joint account holders can make deposits to the accounts accessible through MB Personal Online Banking using the MB2 Mobile App. Business customers can designate users and associated accounts for deposit through MB mobile remote deposit.
Q: What types of checks can be deposited through mobile remote deposit?
A: Mobile remote deposit can accept checks that are payable to the account holder, drawn on U.S. banks, and payable in U.S. dollars. No foreign currency checks can be processed through mobile remote check deposit.
Q: After making a mobile deposit, what should be done with the hard copy of the check(s)?
A: After you receive the email confirmations from MB that your check was accepted and approved for deposit, retain the original check for 30 days or 14 days after you receive your account statement. We recommend you shred the check after this time to avoid making a duplicate deposit.
Q: Will I be able to make mobile deposits into all of my accounts including any new account?
A: You will be able to make mobile remote check deposits into all of the accounts that are part of your online banking profile.
